Just Going Through Life.
If you ever feel like time is passing you by. And the world keeps going as you watch it. This is for you.
Sometimes, our bodies are so in sync with the world that we move just as much as it does every day. And after a while, we get lost behind and we’re out of sync. Time seems to pass by slowly or quickly, depending on how you see it. These are the moments in our lives that we should be paying attention to.
There could be a multitude of reasons why we feel like this. But even with all the reasons, it could mean just one thing: this is telling us to stop, slow down, enjoy, observe, exist in our day-to-day life. Simply be there.
In a fast pace environment, it is fairly easy to get stuck in this fast moving phase. We create routines/ rituals for our daily lives. An object in motion stays in motion, right? This feeling of life passing you by isn’t exactly a bad feeling, more of a “take a look at what else exists with you.”
This is an open slot in your life to slow down and enjoy life a little more rather than always doing, doing, doing. Sit back for a minute and listen, observe.
Take in whatever you can take in before you once again re-enter that speeding orbit of life. There’s nothing wrong with liking that fast pace life. I understand sometimes people feel in their zones and never stop working. I’ve had my moments like that. It mostly comes to me whenever I’m in school. I’m in a non-stop work flow. And it’s exciting, challenging.
But it’s always good to let life pass you a bit. These moments where you feel like moping around can be used much more wisely. There is such a thing as productively doing nothing. Ha! At least in my eyes, there is. For me, it looks a little like this below.
Productively doing nothing for me is enjoying everything as I go. Noticing what’s new, what’s old. It’s about PAYING ATTENTION. Being aware.
I know it feels like life is passing you by and you may be missing opportunities and experiences, but you’re not! In fact, this exact feeling is an experience and maybe one you need in order to realize something else. Something more important, valuable. Different.
Soak in these moments. Take the time to regain, rekindle, reimmerse into the world knowing something different. This could be an advantage when you start speeding into life again.
If it feels like you’re just going through life not really caring then change some variable in your life. Just remember when you have this type of feeling it’s because the universe is trying to show or tell you something!! Don’t avoid it. Go with it.
